Tanner Widdoes was born on 03 September 2014. He weighed seven pounds, seven ounces and was 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well!

"We are Eliminating Your Position ..."

Well after five years as a full-time programmer and eight months before that as a contractor, Elavon has eliminated my position. I wasn't the only one to suffer the same fate.

They let go a very skilled and valuable programmer who had been at Elavon for over fifteen years. All in all I think four or five people got the axe.

So if you hear of anyone needing an old, UNIX-C++/C programmer who knows relational databases, TCP/IP, UNIX IPC resources, and lots of other APIs and such, have them visit my resume online here:

Well, the new band fell apart. That's too bad, because all of the musicians are great players. Some things are just not meant to be ...

Well, I'm at it again! I've met three other outstanding musicians (one of whom I already knew) and it's going to be a magical sound! More to come ...

It's Time for an Update, Don't Ya Think?

I've been busy -- or at least I think I've been busy.

Cooper Marketing Solutions started going nutz and all of a sudden there are lots of new products to write! That is great, and it's fun for me; however, it really eats into my Guak-A-Mole time! Not only do I still suck at electronics, but now I have even less time to work consistently on it; And I keep forgetting where I am, and what I still need to research.

You know, all of that is really OK. Most all of the money goes into savings for retirement. And someday, I'll might get to have the time to work on my projects, and increase my knowledge about electronics (Monkeys are filing flight plans right now for the trip out of my ass ...)

I'll write more tomorrow (yeah, right!)

Update for today ...

Well, I have good news, and bad news. The good news is that Cheryl and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary back on 12 Jan 2012!

The bad news is that I suck at electronics!

I'll never finish the Guacamole project in time for Caiden's birthday ...
